A key geographic caution: the Village of Middleport sits mostly within the Town of Royalton, but a small part of the village is actually in the neighboring Town of Hartland. A specific Middleport property or fact should be verified against that boundary before being attributed solely to Royalton. The town's current draw is a modest, canal-recreation-scale one, and big-box or mall retail does not exist here.
